The new courses are as follows: Hermeneutics – Winter 2018 Spiritual Warfare- Spring 2018 The Book of Joshua- Fall 2018
Coming in January:
HERMENEUTICS– Class Description Instructor: Pastor N. J. McClain, Sr.
Dates: January 21, 2018 – March 25, 2018
Hermeneutics, in its simplest form, is systematic Bible study. In this class, you will learn how to interpret the Bible in context. Most individuals are intimidated by the Bible’s perceived contradictions which are no contradictions at all. However, the perception no less leaves the reader with the impression that attempting to understand the Bible only leads to more confusion and therefore many simply refuse to indulge.
The Holy Spirit is the Bible’s interpreter and with the power of His presence, through a comprehensive course of action, the forest will emerge from the trees. The Bible has a language that brilliantly displays the otherwise hidden events of the spirit world. Such is not only available to the reader but encouraged by the Lord to be sought: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” (John 5:39) Of all the events in which one might desire to invest time and energy, learning the truths of the Bible is the only one that promises to reward eternally. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (2 Timothy 3:14-17)
In this class, you will be rewarded by the ability to logically explore the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with the assurance of reaching many epiphanies during your course of study.
