Into the Word: February 2018
“Faith in Action”
This month we will continue with our study in this winter’s quarter about Faith in Action. True faith takes God at His word and acts on what He has said. The third unit of this quarter is entitled: “Godly Faith,” we will study lessons that provide examples of a deep and godly faith.
The first two lessons from the book of James remind us that faith without works is dead (lesson 10); in lesson 11 we will learn that the control of the untamable tongue requires a disciplined faith. An example of godly faith is shown in action in lesson 12 as we study about Peter’s called to Joppa following the death of Tabitha. Because of his faithfulness God uses him to raise her from the dead.
As we conclude this winter quarter, may we be mindful of the fact that God can work through anyone who will trust Him; therefore, let us put our faith in action and utilize the talents and gifts that He has given us for His glory.
