The N. Jerome McClain, Sr Scholarship Foundation has been established to financially assist deserving students in furthering their education. The mission of this foundation is to encourage and award scholarships in support of tuition, books and tutoring to students through undergraduate, graduate, technical and post-secondary Christian schools. The purposes for which the foundation is organized and general nature of the business to be transacted is to solicit, receive and hold funding by gift, donation, bequest, and grants for the purpose of providing students with funds to pursue higher education. - NJMSF awards are given annually to all races, creeds and sexes.
- Scholarship Criteria:
- Eligible applicants will be selected after careful evaluation of the following criteria:
- Timeliness and completeness of scholarship application
- Academic performance (GPA, SAT, ACT)
- Motivation and personal achievement (Church involvement, school and community activities)
- Written personal statement
- One letter of recommendation (teacher, counselor, adult mentor, etc)
Completed applications must be received by the spring deadline date established by the Section Committee each year. Recipients will be notified within 60 days of the committee's evaluation and the Board of Directors approval. We invite you to partner with us through your donations in this worthwhile pursuit.
