The Youth Department Ministry has been established for the purpose of ministering to the needs of our youth. God’s word tells us to “train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old, they will not depart from it.” Our primary goal in the Youth department is to aid and encourage our youth to form a more personal and intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

The Youth Department endeavors to accomplish this task by keeping our youth actively involved in church activities, help them become more aware and familiar with church outreach programs and provide them many opportunities to have social and fellowship activities. We reach out to our youth spiritually by providing leadership, guidance and training on an ongoing basis. A big part of that spiritual training takes place on our annual Youth Retreat which is held at an out of town retreat center for one week. On the retreat, our youth receive spiritual instruction and guidance on any number of issues facing our youth today as well as providing many fellowship opportunities to get to know one another.

As youth leaders, we endeavor to avail ourselves on a continual basis to “raise” up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We reach out to our youth by providing for their social and intellectual development as well in age appropriate settings. All of our youth are assigned to age specific “units” which allows for growth and fellowship within their own age group. Each unit has an adult assigned which encourages mentoring and the formation of “role model” relationships on a personal level.
