Whether deacon Joyner is making visits to the sick and shut-in; praying with members in a hospital room; comforting the bereaved, or encouraging wayward members, he is ever mindful that he has a calling to fulfill and a God to glorify. Deacon Joyner was born in Greenland, Florida, about 2 miles north of Julington Baptist Church and has lived in Jacksonville all of his life. At the age of 12, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior. Deacon Joyner is married to Pauline "Clark" Joyner a member of Julington from childhood. In 1963, he was ordained as deacon at Mt Zion Baptist Church and held membership there until becoming a member of Julington on August 6, 1984. On October 6, 1984, he was ordained deacon at Julington.
We are servants with a Mission, a Message and a Meaning. 

Deacon Family Ministry

His love for people is evidenced by the big smile that greets everyone he encounters. He is bound to notice if a member is not in church and will make contact by visiting or a telephone call.
Known as Cassius by most, Deacon Terry stands out among many. A native of Jacksonville, he became a member in 1990 and was ordained a deacon on September 27, 1992. He and Sarah were married at Julington on January 1, 1995, just minutes after mid-night, placing them among the first nationwide to be married in the new year.

Deacon Tyrone Jefferson is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. This faithful servant of God grew up in Mandarin but now resides on the Southside.

He began his walk with the Lord while a young man and has been serving Him ever since. 
Julington is Deacon Jefferson's first church home. Deacon Jefferson is an avid reader of the Lord's word and ministers to many when called upon. Even while on the job, he walks "In the Word".

Raymond Boyd is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. He was educated in the Duval County school system, graduated from New Stanton High School, and served in the United States Navy.
He united with the Julington Missionary Baptist Church in March of 1984, and was ordained a deacon. He has served as a choir member, Executive Director over the area of music, Administrative Assistant of the Media Department, and a teacher for Vacation Bible School, The Youth Retreat, and Sunday School.
His interest are reading, photography, computers and spending time with his family. Raymond is married to Marsher and they have two children: Trevor (Sharee) and Tiffany. I'm thankful to the Lord for where he has lead me, and where Jesus will continue to lead.

Deacon Ridgeway Middleton was born January 8, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida. Deacon Middleton married Mae Lois in 1969, they have three sons; Dwayne 33, deon 30, and Darryl 25.
Deacon Middleton accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1985 and admits that his love, education and experience with God is greater than love of parents, wife, children, family and friends, greater than education from any school or university, greater than any experience life can give you, because nothing takes the place of Gods Love, which is FOREVER.

Deacon Brown was born in Jacksonville on April 10, 1955. He united with the Julington family in 1993 and was ordained Deacon on May 5, 1996. 
He has served as a Choir member, Executive Director of the Music Department, Chairman of Trustees, Sunday School Teacher, Administrative Assistant of Ushers, Education, Extended Session, Security and Sunday School.
Deacon Brown has been sacrificial in his service to the needs of the church and is committed to doing the will of God.

I grew up in a small community in Meadesville, VA in a family that was God-fearing. I accepted Jesus Christ at a very young age and united with the FirstBaptistChurch. In 1986, I moved to Jacksonville, FL and became a member of JulingtonBaptistChurch in 1990. I became an ordained Deacon on December 1, 1991.  Currently, I find much pleasure spending time with my wife, two daughters, son in-law, and grandchildren. As a man of God, I am continually learning more about God everyday and trusting Him in all things.

Deacon Brother Charles "Chuck" Williams was born in Paducah, Ky in 1945. He moved to Jacksonville, Florida in the 1990's. He has been married to Sis. Irene Williams, since 1969. He accepted Christ in 1994 and has been a member of Julington Baptist Church since 1997.
