Pastor NJ McClain
  
Senior Pastor N. Jerome McClain, Sr.
Pastor McClain and Sister Kate McClain were married March 26, 1971, they have one son, Nathaniel II.  Julington called Reverend McClain to Pastor in October of 1980. Julington is a church of long heritage and tenure (Founded in 1872).  Under Pastor McClain’s leadership she has grown from a two Sunday fellowship to a vibrant and thriving “Spiritual” center.  Pastor McClain is most noted for his organizational skills and has lead Julington to becoming organizationally sound in prudence, protocol, and priorities. Under the challenge of leadership, Pastor McClain has authored several books that complement this church’s growth and integrity: “A Beginner’s Faith,” “Fundamentals of Church Administration,” “A Deacons Ministry that Works, “Leadership that Works, “Once Saved Always Saved,” Evangelism that Works,” and “New Testament Survey,” to name a few.  Pastor McClain’s leadership style extracts the best from a myriad of different personalities which enhances personal growth and church development.
 
  
Thomas Staples
  
Asst. Pastor Thomas Staples

Pastor Thomas Staples was born in Chambers County, Alabama in 1952. His family relocated to Jacksonville in 1959 and has resided in the area since. He came to know Christ as his personal savior in 1979. In 1981 he acknowledged God's call on his life into the gospel ministry. He and Yvonne were married in 1974. They have three children and several grand.

Pastor Staples attended Luther Rice Seminary, North Florida Baptist Theological Seminary, Trinity Bible College and Seminary and Florida Community College at Jacksonville. He joined the staff of Julington Baptist Church in 1986. Since that time he has served as: Youth Minister; Minister of Outreach; Pastor of Operations; Pastor of Administrations and presently serves as the Assistant Pastor. His responsibilities include: providing leadership to all staff levels; assisting in coordinating and directing church ministries, and assisting with preaching, teaching and other areas as directed by the Pastor.

Pastor Staples is committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and to helping believers grow stronger in their walk with Him. He believes that one must diligently study the Scriptures and make it’s truth applicable to daily life before it’s benefits can be realized. He believes that the Bible is God’s holy Word and is our guide to salvation and eternal life. He attributes the Church’s growth to its love for people, “Our ministry is committed to helping God’s people fulfill their destiny by building and strengthening relationships, both with, and within families. Julington Baptist Church is the place to be!”

 
  
William L. McClain
  
Assoc. Pastor William L. McClain, Sr.

        Greetings, I am delighted to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you as an active participant in ministry at Julington Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.  My name is William L. McClain, Sr., affectionately known to my Julington Family as “Rev Bill”.  I accepted Christ as my personal Savior in 1983, and was called into the ministry shortly thereafter.  I was ordained into the gospel ministry on May 18, 1985.  Currently, I serve as Pastor of Operations, with oversight of the Education Department, Sunday School Department, Youth Department, Music Department, Media Department, Outreach Department and Extended Session Ministry. 

In addition to my ministerial duties here at Julington, I am an Assistant Professor of Biology at Edwards Waters College and Professor of Anatomy & Physiology at Florida Community College at Jacksonville, Downtown Campus.  I have been associated with both institutions for a total of twenty years.  As a native of Jacksonville, it has been my pleasure to make contribution to the educational development of my home community.  I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Edward Waters College (1972) and a Master of Arts in Science Education (Biology) from Atlanta University (1977), now Clark-Atlanta University.

I was married to the former Tramona Davis of Winston-Salem, North Carolina on August 27, 1977.  We have two children, William Jr. (Mickey) and Monica.

 
  
Pastor W. James McKenzie

Rev. W. James McKenzie was born in Newark, NJ in 1963 to Dorothy F. and Willie J. McKenzie Sr. His family later relocated to Jacksonville, FL in the same year and resided there until he became an adult. He came to know Christ in the Summer of 1978.

He was called to the gospel ministry in 1980 and began a journey to study God's word and God's people in order to better serve them as the Lord's servant. He later was Licensed in 1992 as a Baptist Minister by Rev. James Merritt, Pastor of the Ephesian Missionary Baptist Church and served as Youth Minister for 5 Years .

He also served in the Gateway Association as the Bible Expositor and President of the Outreach Committee where we held multiple street evangelism meetings in various parts of the Jacksonville community. He was ordained as a Baptist Minister in 1997 by Rev. James Merritt and assigned a mission work in the Arlington community. Rev. Mckenzie later felt the call to unite with the Julington Baptist Church in 1998 were he currently serves as the Pastor of Services.

He received his Bachelors of Religious Arts in Biblical Studies from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary and later received his Masters of Religious Arts in Christian Education from the same institution. He is the father of twin boys born in 1987.
